'How to get Rid of  Kidney Stone | Foods & Healthy Recipes'

Watch this video for some quick and easy recipes to help you recover from Kidney Stone!   -----------------------------  Kidney Stone  Crystallization of chemicals and minerals present in the kidneys leads to kidney stones. Primarily, kidney stones are of two types; calcium oxalate stones and uric acid stones. The former contributes to over 80% of  reported cases.   -----------------------------  Symptoms to look for:   • Severe pain in back and sides • Nausea • Vomiting • Burning sensation while urinating • Pain during urination  • Blood in urine  -----------------------------  Causes:  • Crystallization of chemicals & minerals in kidney  -----------------------------  Food groups to consume in kidney stone:  1. Liquids: Reduces concentration of stone forming minerals in       kidneys  Foods to consume: Plain water, coconut water, barley water as well as fruit & vegetable juices   2. Calcium & fiber: Prevents formation of calcium oxalate stones  Foods to consume: Milk, yogurt, cottage cheese, lentils, sprouts, finger millets & sesame seeds. Peas, pumpkin, squash, cauliflower, cabbage, turnips and tomatoes  -----------------------------  Recipes based on the above food groups:  Recipe 1: Barley water  1. Wash ¼ cup barley pearls under cold water 2. Place it in a pot and add ½L of water to it  3. Place the pot on high flame and bring it to a boil 4. Once it starts boiling, lower the flame and cover the pot with a       lid   Let it simmer for about 40 min  5. Remove and strain this in a big jar, keep the liquid and       discard the barley pearls  While the liquid is still hot   6. Add 1 tbsp of brown sugar in it 7. Stir well and refrigerate 8. Served chilled  Drink this barley drink 2-3 times a day    Recipe 2: Cottage cheese dish  1. Heat 1 tsp oil in a non-stick pan 2. Add to it 10-12 pieces of low fat cottage cheese 3. Now saute it till it turns brown   4. Then remove it in a plate and keep aside 5. Add 1 tsp oil in the same pan 6. Then add 1 chopped green chilly 7. Also include 1 tbsp chopped onion 8. Saute  it till the onion turns translucent 9. Then add 1 tbsp chopped tomato 10. Also add 1 tbsp chopped capsicum 11. Saute these ingredients for 5 minutes  12. Now add the fried cottage cheese pieces to this mixture 13.
