'Potassium and kidney disease diet play a big role in dealing with CKD. People with kidney disease have diminished renal function and need to keep a close eye on their potassium level. Some medications used to treat kidney disease also raise potassium, which can add to the problem. High potassium levels usually develop slowly over weeks or months. This can lead to feelings of fatigue or nausea. If your potassium spikes suddenly, you may experience difficulty breathing, chest pain, or heart palpitations. If you begin experiencing these symptoms, call your local emergency services. This condition, called hyperkalemia, requires immediate medical care. By managing your potassium and kidney disease diet, you can take a step towards improving kidney function. 1:20 Intro to Kidney disease and Potassium 2:44 Potassium build-up in people with chronic kidney disease 4:24 How to minimize potassium build-up 6:38 Foods to add to your diet - low potassium foods for kidney patients 7:45 Foods to limit or avoid - high potassium foods 11:44 How to leach foods for renal diet 15:38 High Potassium symptoms 18:11 How much potassium is safe in a renal diet For More CKD Videos and Treatment Tips from a CKD Patient, watch: Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 5 and Stage 4 Renal Diet - What I ate to improve my kidney function https://youtu.be/zH6fnXyPee8 Overcoming sleep issues with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), low kidney function, and kidney failure https://youtu.be/7lGnEaeuMaE Chronic Kidney Disease Treatment: How I increased my GFR & improved my kidney function Part 1 https://youtu.be/XRnUGL-zAFs SUBSCRIBE TO SUPPORT!
