Christa is a coding enthusiast and reflective teacher. She shares her love of coding and learning with her 8th-grade students at Powhatan Middle School in Powhatan, VA. She has been teaching and innovating in the classroom for over 30 years.   In this webinar you will learn:   ● How to motivate your students to learn during COVID19 ● A number of useful tools to engage students with STEM ● Practical ways to educate and teach students remotely ● Exciting stories and anecdotes that will inspire you to take action   About the Speaker:   Christa Fairman is a Coding Enthusiast and Reflective Teacher. She shares her love of coding and learning with her 8th-grade students at Powhatan Middle School in Powhatan, VA.   Christa has been teaching and innovating in the classroom for over 30 years.   ● In July of 2005, she accepted a position as a Technology Integration Specialist for Arizona\'s Statewide Instructional Technology (SIT) Project.  ● In 2007 Christa settled in as the Educational Technology Specialist providing professional development and instructional technology support to Yuma Elementary School District teachers, leaders, and support staff.  ● In the fall of 2014, Christa founded, implemented, supervised, and witnessed Yuma Elementary School District ONE’s iTEAM KiDS Technology Ambassador Program be recognized as a District of Distinction Honoree by the District Administrator’s Magazine.    During the fall of 2017, Christa moved to Virginia and developed the 8th-grade game design and robotics course.   Her students won first place in this year’s CRCC competition.
