Hi there, I'm Lauren Bradshaw, and we're taking you on the carpet at the Variety Power of Comedy event with Amy Poehler, Will Arnett, and more funny stars in today's PopSugar Rush. LINDSAY: You're in the spotlight tonight, but at home, who gets the most laughs, Mom or Dad? AMY: "I think our kids. WILL: Yeah. AMY: They get the most laughs, they're the funniest so far. AMY: They just do really dry, observational stuff. WILL: Yeah, mainly just like, what's the deal with airplane food? Amy Poehler and Will Arnett may be one of Hollywood's most hilarious couples, but they tell us that it's their two little boys who are getting all the laughs at home. Amy and Will came out on Saturday night for Variety's 2nd annual Power of Comedy event which recognized Amy for her contributions to the comedy world. PopSugar editor Lindsay Miller was on the carpet to chat with honoree Amy and the other funny people who showed up to cheer her on. KEN JEONG: She's a genius, and there's nothing that she can't do. TJ MILLER: A strong female voice in comedy is always something that is appreciated and celebrated . . . ADAM PALLY (WITH CASEY WILSON): She was a teacher of mine, and a lover, and a friend. ROB HUEBEL: She's great, she's the funniest person around. Inside the show, Amy took the stage to accept her award from friend Will Ferrell, who tried to sneak in a kiss, and Maya Rudolph even sang a special tribute to celebrate Amy's win. But the night wasn't just about Amy; it also raised money for a good cause. LINDSAY: Variety's annual power of comedy event raises funds to battle women's cancers. Ticket proceeds benefited the Noreen Frasier Foundation, and Noreen told us why Amy was the perfect woman to recognize. NOREEN FRASER: We are so happy that Amy was willing to be honored tonight because she does make people laugh and laughing heals. LINDSAY: We asked some of the evening's comedians how comedy has transformed their own lives. SARAH COLONNA: My grandmother had cancer, and as rough of a topic as it is, we found ourselves laughing through it to get through it as a family . . . TJ MILLER: All the bad things that we're up against in life, it's a lot easier to go up against them when you have a little giggle . . ."
