Owen Wilson, Woody Harrelson and Amy Poehler were on hand for the premiere of their latest film, "Free Birds," in Los Angeles on Sunday (October 13). Poehler joked that the film won't cater to those looking for cheap turkey sound effects. "I cannot do any good animal noises," she said, while promoting the film on Saturday (October 12). "Luckily I was never asked to. Nobody stooped down to ask me to do any kind of gobble. It's not that kind of movie. If you're looking for gobbles, you're not going to get that here, okay, if you're looking for cheap gobbles, then keep walking. This is not the movie for you." The film follows Wilson and Harrelson's characters as they go back in time to the first Thanksgiving ever to stop turkeys from being on the menu. When asked what children would learn from the film, Wilson said that the message speaks about learning not to be selfish. "I think that every kid goes through that pressure to fit in and I think that the way this movie addresses that in thinking about your kind of fellow man, that's kind of a nice message in helping other people and not always putting yourself first," he said. "Well they're going to be like, 'Turkeys can talk?' And then they're going to be like, 'Turkeys can time travel?' And then they're going to be like, 'What?!' That's what everyone's going to do," added Poehler. "You'll find out so much about turkeys but really, you'll find out a lot about yourself." "Is that disgusting enough?" she joked, about the film's message. "Free Birds" will fly into U.S. theaters on Nov. 1.
