'A group of words that may take the place of a part of speech is called a phrase. In an earlier lesson, I explained the seven types of phrases, but in this lesson, I expand on the prepositional phrase. The prepositional phrase is a multifunctional phrase because depending on its place in the sentence, it can either work as an adjective or as an adverb. Prepositional phrases may be embedded into larger phrases or even clauses. There is also a bonus quiz in this lesson so that you may show what you know!
