Did you know that recycling one aluminum can saves enough energy that could power your TV for three hours? That\'s how important recycling is, it can give you back lots of things in return for the elements that you have recycled when you threw them away. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UuUeoyYmxI) What is recycling? Recycling is the process of converting waste into reusable objects to prevent waste of potentially useful materials, reduce the consumption of fresh raw materials, energy usage, air pollution and water pollution by decreasing the need for conventional waste disposal and lowering greenhouse gas emissions compared to plastic production. Have you ever heard of the waste hierarchy that says \"Reduce, Reuse, Recycle\"? This shows how much important it is to reduce the waste you bring out and try to reuse those things you have before going to the final decision which is throwing them away for recycling. Recycling is the reason behind separating paper from plastic from aluminum when one is throwing them in the trash, to make it easier for the men sent from recycling companies to collect the trash to sort and separate these things and let them go directly for the recycling part. Bryson Recycling Centre helped the kids understand the different benefits of recycling which they are supposed to know more about. There are two important types of benefits which people will gain when they decide to recycle - even companies and big organizations will feel the difference - those economic benefits as well as those environmental benefits. The environmental benefits include the energy that will be saved everyday by not producing new materials, it helps in preventing millions of tons of materials from coming into the landfills and saving space for the garbage that cannot be re-purposed, recycling also keeps the litter overflow to a minimum and thus helps in keeping the Earth looks good, and it also conserves the Earth\'s natural resources like raw materials, minerals, trees, etc. On the other hand, there are some economic benefits gained from recycling that include opening new jobs and reducing the money that is spent on the waste, which is considered an important part of keeping any country in the world working in a successful way. The recycling process starts at home when one reduces the amount of waste he/she produces and from reusing those material instead, but then the journey is completed by sorting these materials and giving the recycling companies the chance to make use of them. The car that passes to take the waste separates the plastic, the aluminum and the paper from one another and goes to the recycling place just to add every single type to the rest collected before. At Bryson Recycling Centre, we knew that even though people tend to separate their waste to make it easier for recycling, the plastic still needs to go through a machine that will recognize everything that is plastic and everything that is not to separate them both from one another, but paper and aluminum are usually ready for the recycling phases (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-N5jb-fWTs). Recycling is definitely important for both saving energy and for opening new jobs for people. Teaching the kids and telling them more about the waste, the recycling process it goes through, separating the waste, and all these stuff is very important to let them follow these steps from the early beginning and understand the reasons behind what they are doing and the separation phase they are considering. On LearningMole, there are different educational videos that teach the kids about the world they are living in; about tornadoes (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWA9dpLtNrU), tsunamis (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1mozwcqKBE), thunder and lightning (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6i8hYEkiqSE), hurricanes (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ye0wWBOKIZY) and water cycle (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jGvvUQnKqY).
